The Jaguar E-Type is often hailed as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Meanwhile, the Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine has gained internet fame and widespread recognition beyond car enthusiasts. Combine these two icons, and you get a masterpiece crafted by professional drift racer and car builder Faruk Kugay, powered by the heart of a Supra.

Engine swaps are thrilling, showcasing unique visions by combining unconventional parts. We’re amazed by creations like a Nissan 350Z with dual K24 engines or an old-school Volkswagen bus equipped with a 5.2L Aluminator from a Ford Mustang.

While Japan’s oldest oil company ENEOS is hosting the vehicle, Faruk Kugay, a professional drifter and car enthusiast, is credited with building this exceptional Jaguar powered by a Toyota 2JZ-GTE inline-6.

ENEOS page dedicated to Faruk, reveals his main vehicles, including a Formula Drift Pro 1 Nissan S14 and a BMW E92, both featuring 2JZ-GTE engines. His choice of a Supra’s 2JZ-GTE engine honors the Japanese hosts of the build.

2JZ swapped Jaguar XKE Performance Upgrades

To achieve impressive performance, Kugay upgraded the engine with components like Deatschwerks Injectors, a Nuke Performance fuel system, CP-Carillo pistons and rods, a Borg Warner EFR 8474 turbocharger, Vibrant Performance Intercooler, and a Link G4 Fury ECU. The result? An expected output of 750 HP.

To optimize performance on the street and track, Kugay integrated parts from an E60 BMW 535i, including the rear subframe, suspension, and differential. Additionally, he installed a ZF five-speed manual transmission from an E36 BMW M3.

The significant power increase required modifications, including fender flares inspired by the Jaguar factory’s Lightweight racer. Vinny’s Autobody in Sonoma, CA, strengthened the panels with carbon fiber.

The 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 boasts custom-built 17” Rotiform STL wheels and high-performance Bridgestone Potenza RE-71 RS tires, ensuring versatility on both road and track.

Other enhancements include brakes from a Chevy Corvette and BMW 535i, Silver’s coilovers, custom front suspension, and a cage by DevSpeed. Despite these upgrades, the XKE’s iconic design remains intact, showcasing voluptuous curves, side dump exhaust, and an impressive engine bay.

In summary, this project combines the elegance of a Jaguar, the power of a Toyota, the structure of a BMW, the braking capability of a Chevy, and the spirit of a racer into a truly unique and thrilling package.
