The electric racing car McMurtry Spéirling, known as the Batmobile, made its debut in North America for the first time. Surrounded by major international car manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and KIA at CES 2024, it is still the most eye-catching future EV in the Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility exhibition area. This car will also be launched in mass production in 2025, equipped with the latest next-generation high-efficiency ternary lithium-ion battery from Nengyuan Technology, which will greatly improve the performance of electric racing cars.

According to the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Global Electric Vehicle Outlook Report, the number of transportation vehicles on the world’s roads will reach 145 million in 2030. At CES 2024, many manufacturers launched a variety of novel electric vehicles and charging piles, with the highest power even reaching more than 720kW. This also means that the national grid may face a heavy load in the future, because the instantaneous charging power of four electric vehicles It is almost equal to the instantaneous power load of a building. Some visitors from Europe complained that it takes a long time to apply for power feeders at supercharging stations in their own countries.

In this regard, TCC Energy Storage has developed an integrated charging and storage architecture with EnergyArk as the main body. It was demonstrated at the CES exhibition that even in the face of the 1,000-horsepower electric racing car Spéirling that requires high-power charging, TCC Energy Storage’s DC-DC charging and storage All-in-one charging stations can avoid impacting the power grid and take into account safety, continuously and stably supply charging, and also help solve the problem of urban power shortage. In the future, TCC Energy Storage will also combine with TCC’s European subsidiary Atlante to build a global regional microgrid.

Fastest Electric Supercar

The McMurtry Spéirling, known as the Batmobile, can accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in 1.4 seconds. In 2022, the British CarWow channel found the top electric cars with the fastest acceleration on the earth, Rimac Nevera and McMurtry Spierling, to conduct a series with the Red Bull RB8 Formula 1 Formula One car. In the competition of starting on the spot and accelerating again while moving, the Red Bull RB8 was left behind by the other two electric supercars from the beginning, allowing McMurtry Spéirling to easily win the championship.

McMurtry Speirling will launch a commercial version in 2025. The car is called Spéirling Pure. The price is as high as $1.06 million. It is limited to 100 units globally. The car is equipped with the latest next-generation high-performance ternary lithium from Molicel, a battery brand of Taiwan Cement Corporation. The ion battery has a discharge capacity increased by 16%, the charging time is shortened from 30 minutes to 12 minutes, and the cycle life is doubled. Therefore, it is designated for use by many top international car manufacturers and European and American future aerial vehicle eVTOL brands even in the trial mass production stage. McMurtry’s production cars and the supercars that will compete this year will be equipped with Molicel’s new batteries.
