Commemorating its 60th anniversary, Lamborghini unveiled a new concept supercar dubbed the Revuelto Opera Unica at Art Basel Miami Beach. Opera Unica highlights the impressive skills of the brand’s Ad Personam team. Meticulously hand-painted, it features a front end in Viola Pasifae, seamlessly transitioning into Nero Helene. This serves as the base for additional blue, red, and orange accents, enhancing the design with a dynamic touch of speed.
Achieving perfection was no easy feat. Lamborghini highlights the challenge by revealing that the livery demanded 76 hours for development and testing. Followed by an extensive application process taking approximately 435 hours (equivalent to over 18 days!). The finishing touch is a 60th Anniversary logo on the hood, visible in the right light.
Not just the exterior, the interior required an extra 220 hours for completion. Featuring two-tone Nero Ade and Viola Acutus leather upholstery mirroring the paint job, it includes the embroidered 60th Anniversary logo on seats and door panels. The thread color matches the exterior brush strokes and is also present on the start button cover.
Underneath, the Opera Unica follows the usual business model, powered by a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid drivetrain featuring a new 6.5-liter V12 engine. Crucially, Lamborghini maintains a naturally aspirated engine, resisting downsizing and turbo additions. The system comprises three electric motors and a 3.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, delivering an impressive 1,001 horsepower and 793 pound-feet of torque. This powerhouse achieves a manufacturer-claimed 0-62 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 217 mph.
Lamborghini keeps the future of the Opera Unica under wraps. It might secure a spot in the company’s Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy museum, or it could be destined for private ownership. Either way, spotting this unique car is unforgettable—it’s a one-of-a-kind beauty that won’t go unnoticed.
